وقال الدكتور عمرو منير أستاذ طب وجراحة العيون بكلية طب سوهاج، إن استخدام التكنولوجيا الحديثة في التعليم يعتبر من الأمور التي أصبحت ضرورية في عصرنا الحالي. ومن بين هذه التكنولوجيا استخدام الأجهزة المحمولة والشاشات الذكية والأجهزة اللوحية للتعلم وحل الامتحانات، موضحة أن الاعتزال المفرط في مواجهة هذه الأجهزة يعرض الكبار، وخاصة الأطفال، لمشاكل العين وأهمها جفاف العين. في الأطفال.
وأكد استشاري طب العيون في تصريح خاص لـ«اليوم السابع» أن من أبرز الفئات التي تعاني من المخاطر الناتجة عن الاستخدام المفرط لهذه الأجهزة المذكورة أعلاه هي فئة الأطفال. وتختلف هذه المجموعة عن بقية المجموعات الأخرى، لأن لها سطحًا بصريًا مميزًا. ولها طبيعة خاصة من حيث أنها تتأثر بشدة بجفاف العيون، بالإضافة إلى أن الطفل لا يستطيع معرفة المدة التي يقضيها أمام شاشات هذه الأجهزة غير اللاب توب أو الهاتف المحمول، مما يجعله أكثر عرضة أكثر من غيرهم لهذه المشاكل. .
كما أوضح الدكتور عمرو المضاعفات الصحية الناتجة عن قضاء فترات طويلة أمام شاشات الموبايل وغيرها، ومنها جفاف العين عند الأطفال، والذي ينتج عن عدم إغلاق العين بشكل متكرر، مما يؤدي إلى ما يترتب على عدم تغذية الطبقة الدمعية بشكل منتظم. سطح العين وسطح القرنية مما يؤدي إلى جفافها. العين وحدوث تقرحات بسيطة بالقرنية .
وأضاف الاستشاري أن فتح العين لفترات طويلة قد يؤدي إلى إرهاق العين نتيجة التقلص المستمر لعضلات العين من أجل الرؤية القريبة مما يؤدي إلى الإصابة بالصداع.
ويمكن تجنب هذه المخاطر الصحية من خلال عدم الاستمرار في استخدام هذه الأجهزة، وتحديد وقت محدد ومنظم للجلوس على هذه الأجهزة حتى يتمكن الطفل من ممارسة حياة طبيعية من اللعب أو التعلم، حتى لا يؤذي عيون الأطفال. وفي حالة التعرض للإجهاد الشديد، يفضل عدم استخدام الأجهزة اللوحية والهواتف المحمولة بشكل كامل. حتى تعود العين إلى حالتها الطبيعية .
