عشرات الآلاف من المتظاهرين الكنديين يطالبون بوقف إطلاق النار في غزة
خرج عشرات الآلاف إلى شوارع مدينة تورونتو الكندية، اليوم السبت، احتجاجا على المجازر اليومية التي ترتكبها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي بحق المدنيين العزل في قطاع غزة المحاصر، والمطالبة بوقف إطلاق النار.
وردد المتظاهرون شعارات مؤيدة للفلسطينيين، مطالبين بوقف إطلاق النار، واصفين ما ترتكبه قوات الاحتلال بجرائم حرب. كما ردد المتظاهرون شعارات مناهضة للتغطية الإعلامية المنحازة من قبل وسائل الإعلام الغربية بشكل عام ووسائل الإعلام الكندية بشكل خاص، الداعمة للموقف الإسرائيلي.
وتواجدت قوات الشرطة بكثافة لتأمين التظاهرة. وقالت الشرطة إن الاحتجاجات في وسط مدينة تورونتو أدت إلى إغلاق العديد من الطرق.
كما نظم عدد من العاملين في القطاع الصحي، تحت اسم “ذوي المعاطف البيضاء”، وقفة احتجاجية أمام هيئة الإذاعة الكندية (CBC) احتجاجاً على تغطيتها المنحازة لإسرائيل وعدم حديثها عن الجرائم اليومية التي ترتكبها قوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي. قوات الاحتلال.
