كشفت دراسة حديثة نُشرت في BMC Veterinary Research بتاريخ 24 أغسطس 2024 عن وجود مشتقات غير مصرح بها من الخنزير والحمير والجمال والدجاج في منتجات اللحم البقري التي تُباع في مصر. أُجريت الدراسة بين مارس وأبريل 2023 وشملت تحليل 150 عينة من منتجات اللحم البقري الشهيرة، بما في ذلك اللانشون والكفتة والسجق والبرجر واللحم المفروم، التي تم جمعها من أسواق مختلفة في الفيوم.

وأظهرت النتائج أن 60% من العينات تحتوي على مشتقات الدجاج، 30% تحتوي على مشتقات الجمل، 16% تحتوي على مشتقات الحمار، و8% تحتوي على مشتقات الخنزير. تثير هذه النتائج قلقًا كبيرًا بشأن سلامة ونزاهة هذه المنتجات التي تُستهلك على نطاق واسع في جميع أنحاء البلاد.

في ضوء هذه النتائج، من المهم لجميع الأطراف المعنية، بما في ذلك المستهلكين والجهات الرقابية، أن تظل يقظة لضمان سلامة الغذاء. يمكن للمستهلكين أن يساهموا من خلال الانتباه إلى مصادر شراء منتجات اللحوم والبقاء على اطلاع دائم بآخر المستجدات في سلامة الغذاء. من جهة أخرى، تظل الجهود المستمرة من قبل السلطات الرقابية في مراقبة وتفتيش المنتجات الغذائية أمرًا حاسمًا في الحفاظ على جودة وسلامة سلسلة التوريد الغذائية.

New Study Reveals Pig, Donkey, Camel, and Chicken Derivatives in Beef Products Sold in Egypt

A recent study published in BMC Veterinary Research on 24 August 2024 has uncovered the presence of unauthorized derivatives from pigs, donkeys, camels, and chickens in beef products sold in Egypt. The study, conducted between March and April 2023, involved the analysis of 150 samples of popular beef products, including luncheon, kofta, sausage, burgers, and minced meat, collected from various markets in Fayoum.

The findings revealed that 60% of the samples contained chicken derivatives, 30% had camel derivatives, 16% had donkey derivatives, and 8% contained pig derivatives. These results raise significant concerns about the integrity and safety of these products, which are widely consumed across the country.

Given these findings, it is essential for all parties involved, including consumers and regulatory bodies, to remain vigilant in ensuring food safety. Consumers can contribute by being mindful of where they purchase their meat products and by staying informed about food safety updates. On the other hand, continuous efforts by regulatory authorities to monitor and inspect food products are crucial in maintaining the quality and safety of the food supply chain.
