عبد الملك المرضي أول سعودي يعتلي منصة تتويج بطولة أبوظبي إكستريم

شهد مركز أدنيك العين فوزاً قوياً حققه الرياضي السعودي عبد الملك المرضي خلال مشاركته في النسخة الثامنة من بطولة أبوظبي إكستريم (ADXC 8)، والتي أقيمت في مدينة العين الإماراتية، للمرة الأولى في تاريخ البطولة.
وتعد هذه المشاركة الأولى للرياضي السعودي في البطولة، حيث واجه خصمه البيروفي العنيد إدواردو فارفان في نزال جوجيتسو بفئة الوزن غير المقيد ضمن إطار النزالات التمهيدية للبطولة وفاز بقرار الحكام.
وقال المرضي: “تسرني المشاركة في بطولة أبوظبي إكستريم وخوض هذه التجربة الجديدة والفريدة, وأعتقد بأن خبرتي في القفص ساعدتني على الفوز، حيث كنت أمارس الفنون القتالية المختلطة في عام 2012 ضمن منظمة ديزرت فورس، وكان من الرائع العودة للمنافسة ضمن القفص وخوض نزال جوجيتسو وسط هذا التنظيم المتميز وبطاقة النزالات القوية”.
وأضاف: “كان خصمي قوياً ولا يستهان به، حيث ركزت في البداية على تخطي دفاعاته والحصول على إخضاع، ثم بدأ إدواردو في الجولة الثانية بالهجوم ومحاولة إخضاعي بتثبيت القدم إلا أنني نجحت بالدفاع وصد هجماته، وتمكنت في الجولة الثالثة من تكثيف هجماتي وتحقيق الفوز, وأعتقد بأنّ الفوز اليوم هو إنجاز مهم لمسيرتي الرياضية، حيث تمنحني طريقاً آخر في رياضة الجوجيتسو للاحتراف ومنافسة خصوم أقوياء وأسماء عالمية، وأتمنى أن تواصل البطولة نجاحاتها عاماً بعد عام”.
