شركة بريطانية: نتائج إيجابية للقاح فيروس الجهاز التنفسى لكبار السن
قالت شركة أدوية بريطانية إن لقاحها ضد الفيروس المخلوي التنفسي (ار اس في) وأظهرت نتائج أولية إيجابية في تجربة المرحلة الثالثة لحماية البالغين الذين تتراوح أعمارهم بين 50 إلى 59 عاما من المرض الذي يسبب دخول الآلاف إلى المستشفيات والوفيات سنويا، بحسب ما نشرته رويترز.
وأضافت الشركة أن جرعة اللقاح حققت الهدف الأساسي في تجربة المرحلة الثالثة المتمثل في تحفيز الاستجابة المناعية لدى البالغين من الفئة العمرية المبلغ عنها والذين هم أكثر عرضة للإصابة بالفيروس بسبب بعض الحالات الطبية الأساسية.
يشار إلى أن هذه النتائج تم عرضها في اجتماع اللجنة الاستشارية لممارسات التحصين (ACIP(من المراكز الأمريكية لمكافحة الأمراض والوقاية منها)مركز السيطرة على الأمراض)، هذا اللقاح معتمد حاليًا في الولايات المتحدة للتحصين النشط للوقاية RSV-LRTD بالنسبة للبالغين الذين تبلغ أعمارهم 60 عامًا فما فوق، تمت الموافقة عليه أيضًا في أوروبا واليابان والعديد من البلدان الأخرى.
