أمريكا تهدد بوقف تزويد إسرائيل بالبنادق.. وسوليفان: على نتنياهو كبح عنف المستوطنين
هددت الولايات المتحدة بوقف تزويد إسرائيل بالبنادق بعد أن شوهد وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي وهو يسلمها لمدنيين، بحسب ما نقلت صحيفة التلغراف البريطانية.
الدافع وراء الخلاف الدبلوماسي هو الصور المنتشرة على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي لإيتامار بن جفير، وزير الأمن القومي الإسرائيلي، وهو يعطي بنادق لفرق الأمن المجتمعي في جميع أنحاء البلاد. وتظهر الصور بن غفير وهو يوزع أسلحة في فعاليات سياسية في بني براك وإلعاد، وهما بلدتان بالقرب من تل أبيب.
وبعد عدة أيام من التبادلات الدبلوماسية، تعهدت إسرائيل بتوزيع الأسلحة فقط من خلال الشرطة أو الجيش، على الرغم من أن السياسيين يمكن أن يكونوا حاضرين عند تسليمها.
وقال متحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية الأميركية: إن “الرئيس جو بايدن وجه فريقه للتأكد من أن إسرائيل لديها ما تحتاجه للدفاع عن نفسها، وفقا للقانون الدولي”.
وبحسب صحيفة التلغراف، شكلت إسرائيل المئات من الفرق الأمنية التطوعية وسلحتهم في ظل الاضطرابات. وتوقع بن جفير أن تشهد هذه الحرب تكرارا للتوترات التي أعقبت حرب غزة الأخيرة عام 2021، وأمر بتخفيف ضوابط إصدار تراخيص السلاح للمواطنين العاديين.
وقالت الأونروا إن المستوطنين هاجموا يوم الخميس تجمعا بالقرب من رام الله في الضفة الغربية، مما أدى إلى إتلاف المنازل وسرقوا أشياء، وهو الأحدث في سلسلة من الحوادث المماثلة.
وقالت في تقريرها الأخير يوم الجمعة إنه منذ بداية الحرب، أدت المستويات المرتفعة من عنف المستوطنين إلى التهجير القسري لـ 82 عائلة، من بينهم 607 أشخاص، من بينهم 211 طفلا.
من جهته، دعا مستشار الأمن القومي الأميركي جيك سوليفان، في مقابلة مع شبكة “سي إن إن” الأحد، رئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو إلى “كبح جماح” عنف المستوطنين اليهود المتطرفين ضد الفلسطينيين الأبرياء في الضفة الغربية.
