كشفت الحسابات الفلكية التي أعدها معمل أبحاث الشمس بالمعهد القومي للبحوث الفلكية عن تاريخ شهر رمضان 2024. وتشير الحسابات إلى أن أول يوم رمضان 2024 فلكيا سيكون يوم الاثنين 11 مارس 2024، وسيكون عدده 30 يوما، وبذلك يتبقى حوالي 129 يومًا حتى يومه الأول.
اعتمدت العديد من الشعوب تقاويم خاصة بها، ومن أمثلة ذلك: “التقويم المصري الفرعوني “القبطي” – التقويم اليولياني الجريجوري – التقويم العبري – التقويم السرياني – التقويم الروماني – التقويم الفارسي – التقويم اليوناني – التقويم البابلي”. – التقويم الهجري .
يعتمد نظام التقويم الهجري على الشهر القمري، الذي يمثل الفترة الزمنية التي يستغرقها القمر للقيام بدورة كاملة حول الأرض. الأشهر الهجرية هي “1 المحرم – 2 صفر – 3 ربيع الأول – 4 ربيع الآخر – 5 جمادى الأولى – 6 جمادى الآخر – 7 رجب – 8 شعبان – 9 رمضان – 10 شوال – 11” ذو القعدة – 12 ذي الحجة.
التقويم الهجري أو القمري أو الإسلامي هو تقويم يعتمد على دورة القمر لتحديد الأشهر. وتتخذه بعض الدول العربية، مثل المملكة العربية السعودية، بمثابة التقويم الرسمي للدولة. أنشأها الخليفة عمر بن الخطاب وقام بهجرة الرسول صلى الله عليه وسلم من مكة إلى المدينة في 12 ربيع الأول (24 سبتمبر سنة 622 م) كما إشارة إلى السنة الأولى فيه، وهذا هو سبب تسميته بالتقويم الهجري.
