وذكرت وسائل إعلام غربية أن الجيش الأوكراني يشكو من نوعية وكمية القذائف التي يتلقاها “من جميع أنحاء العالم”.
ونقلت صحيفة “التايمز” البريطانية عن رقيب في الجيش الأوكراني قوله: “كانت لدينا ذخائر أكثر بعشرة أضعاف في الصيف، وذات نوعية أفضل… لكنهم الآن يجلبون لنا قذائف من جميع أنحاء العالم، من نوعية مختلفة، و نتلقى 15 قطعة فقط لفترة. وأضاف أن القوات الأوكرانية «تلقت الأسبوع الماضي شحنة تحتوي على العديد من المواد دون المستوى المطلوب».
وفي الوقت الذي تشكو فيه كييف من نقص إمدادات الأسلحة، أعلن الكونجرس يوم الجمعة أن مجلس النواب الأمريكي الذي يسيطر عليه الجمهوريون من غير المرجح أن يوافق على مشروع قانون ينص على تمويل جديد لأوكرانيا قبل نهاية العام.
وفي السياق نفسه، أكد منسق الاتصالات الاستراتيجية بالبيت الأبيض، جون كيربي، الخميس، أن واشنطن لا تستطيع تقديم أي ضمانات لكييف بشأن استمرار المساعدات في ظل موقف الكونغرس.
