اليابان تعلن أول حالة وفاة بمرض جدرى القرود
أعلنت وزارة الصحة اليابانية اليوم الاربعاء عن أول حالة وفاة بمرض جدري القرود في اليابان.
وقالت الوزارة إن رجلاً في الثلاثينيات من عمره كان يعيش في محافظة سايتاما بالقرب من العاصمة طوكيو، توفي بسبب جدري القرود، وهي أول حالة وفاة من نوعها في اليابان، بحسب وكالة الأنباء اليابانية كيودو.
وأضافت الوزارة أن المتوفى كان يعاني من نقص المناعة، وذلك بعد أشهر من إعلان منظمة الصحة العالمية في مايو الماضي أن مرض جدري القرود لم يعد يمثل حالة طوارئ صحية عامة تثير قلقا دوليا بسبب تراجع حالات الإصابة الجديدة.
وتم تأكيد أول حالة إصابة بالفيروس في اليابان في يوليو من العام الماضي.
ويسبب المرض ارتفاع في درجة الحرارة والصداع والطفح الجلدي، وتستمر الأعراض الخطيرة لمدة تتراوح بين أسبوعين وأربعة أسابيع.
