أعلنت بريطانيا، الأربعاء، إرسال المدمرة “دياموند” التابعة للبحرية الملكية، للعمل ضمن قوات تحالف دولي خاص بحماية السفن في البحر الأحمر وخليج عدن.
وأوضح بيان للحكومة البريطانية أن “دياموند” ستنضم إلى 3 مدمرات أميركية وسفينة حربية فرنسية في المنطقة، من أجل “حماية حرية الملاحة والتجارة الدولية وحياة البشر من خلال التصدي لجهات غير حكومية في المياه الدولية”.
والإثنين أعلنت الولايات المتحدة تشكيل تحالف دولي للتصدي لهجمات الحوثيين في البحر الأحمر، تحت مسمى “المبادرة الأمنية المتعددة الجنسيات”، ويضم 10 بلدان من بينها بريطانيا وفرنسا وإيطاليا.وجاء في بيان لوزير الدفاع الأميركي لويد أوستن، أن “البلدان التي تسعى إلى ترسيخ المبدأ الأساسي لحرية الملاحة عليها أن تتكاتف لمواجهة التحدّي الذي تشكله هذه الجهة”.
وقال أوستن إن التحالف الأمني سيعمل “بهدف ضمان حرية الملاحة لكل البلدان ولتعزيز الأمن والازدهار الإقليميين”.
ويضم التحالف الولايات المتحدة وبريطانيا وكندا وفرنسا وإيطاليا وهولندا والنروج وإسبانيا والبحرين وجزر السيشل.وصعد الحوثيون هجماتهم على ناقلات النفط وسفن الشحن وغيرها في البحر الأحمر، وعلقت عدة شركات شحن كبرى المرور عبر مضيق باب المندب الذي تمر عبره 40 بالمئة من التجارة الدولية إلى حين ضمان سلامة الملاحة فيه.
والإثنين أعلن الحوثيون أنهم استهدفوا بطائرتين مسيَرتين سفينتين لهما ارتباط بإسرائيل في البحر، الأحمر إحداهما نرويجية.
وحذر الجماعة في بيان “كافة السفن المتجهة إلى الموانئ الإسرائيلية من أي جنسية كانت من الملاحة في البحرين العربي والأحمر، حتى إدخال ما يحتاجه أخواننا الصامدون في قطاع غزة من ماء ودواء”.
