دعا الرئيس الأمريكي السابق دونالد ترامب إلى ضرورة اصدار قانون يقضى بسجن اى شخص يقوم بحرق العلم الأمريكي وتكون العقوبة هى عام
وحسب شبكة سى أن أن الأمريكية قال ترامب خلال تجمع انتخابى له فى ولاية نورث كارولاينا سوف نعلم اطفالنا أن يحبوا بلدنا وتكريم تاريخنا وان نحترم دائما علمنا الأمريكي العظيم
وأضاف قائلا خلال تجمعة الانتخابى سنذهب إلى الكونجرس ونطالب بقوة القانون بسبب أعمال الشغب الصغيرة التى حدثت قبل ثلاثة أشهر لقد كانوا يحرقون الإعلام الأمريكية فى كل مكان
وتابع ترامب قوله سنطلب من الكونجرس يقولون انه امر غير دستورى لا اوافق اطالب بعقوبة السجن لمدة عام لأى شخص يقوم بحرق العلم الأمريكي
