دعت بيترا دي سوتر نائبة رئيس الوزراء البلجيكي الحكومة، اليوم الأربعاء، إلى فرض عقوبات على إسرائيل والتحقيق في قصف المستشفيات ومخيمات اللاجئين في قطاع غزة.
وقالت دي سوتر لصحيفة “نيوسبلاد”: “حان الوقت لفرض عقوبات على إسرائيل. إسقاط القنابل كالمطر غير إنساني.. من الواضح أن إسرائيل لا تهتم بالمطالب الدولية الخاصة بوقف إطلاق النار”.
وتقصف إسرائيل غزة في إطار ردها على العملية التي شنتها حماس في السابع من أكتوبر. وخلفت الغارات الإسرائيلية أكثر من 10 آلاف قتيل. وتحولت الحرب إلى الحلقة الأكثر دموية في الصراع الإسرائيلي الفلسطيني المستمر منذ أجيال.وذكرت دي سوتر أن على الاتحاد الأوروبي تعليق اتفاق الشراكة مع إسرائيل (الذي يهدف إلى تحسين التعاون الاقتصادي والسياسي) فوراً.وأضافت أيضاً أنه يجب فرض حظر على استيراد المنتجات من الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة ومنع المستوطنين الذين ينتهجون العنف والسياسيين والجنود المسؤولين عن جرائم الحرب من دخول الاتحاد الأوروبي.
وقالت في الوقت نفسه إنه يتعين على بلجيكا زيادة التمويل للمحكمة الجنائية الدولية في لاهاي للتحقيق في عمليات القصف مع قطع تدفق الأموال إلى حماس.
وأردفت قائلةً: “إنها منظمة إرهابية. الإرهاب له تكلفة مالية ويجب فرض عقوبات على الشركات والأشخاص الذين يزودون حماس بالمال”.
ومع دخول الحرب شهرها الثاني، كثف مسؤولو الأمم المتحدة ودول مجموعة الدول السبع الصناعية الكبرى نداءاتهم من أجل هدنة إنسانية في الأعمال القتالية للمساعدة في تخفيف معاناة السكان في قطاع غزة حيث سويت مبان بالأرض وبدأت الإمدادات الأساسية في النفاد.
وبحسب المسؤولين فلسطينيين، قتل أكثر من عشرة آلاف شخص في غزة بسبب القصف الإسرائيلي، 40% منهم من الأطفال.
