المحاصيل المتنوعة التي تستعد محافظة دمياط لاستقبالها مع اقتراب فصل الشتاء وأبرزها “البنجر والبطاطس والفول الحراتي”.
يفضل عدد كبير من المزارعين زراعة البنجر مباشرة بعد زراعة الأرز بسبب الظروف الجوية.
يقول مصطفى سعد، مزارع من دمياط، “نجهز الأرض لاستقبال زراعة البنجر، ومن الأفضل زراعتها بعد زراعة الأرز وليس القطن، لأن الأرض مشبعة بمياه الري، ونحن بخير”. استعداداً لهذا الموسم.”
وأضاف أن “تبطين الترع ساعد كثيراً في الري، وكان له أثر في نجاح موسم الزراعة سواء في زراعة الأرز أو القمح أو حتى الحمضيات”.
فيما أكد البعض أن زراعة الفاصوليا الخضراء والبطاطس ستكون رائجة أيضاً هذا الموسم.
وقال أحد المزارعين: “زراعة الفاصوليا الخضراء واجهت صعوبات خلال السنوات الماضية بسبب الآفات، ولكننا هذا العام نواجه هذه الأزمة بشكل متقدم”.
وأكد المهندس سميح عبد السميع وكيل وزارة الزراعة بدمياط أن هناك العديد من الزيارات الميدانية التي تقوم بها المديرية فيما يتعلق بتطوير كافة المحاصيل الشتوية، مشيراً إلى أنه تم عقد ندوة تعريفية من أجل توعية المزارعين حول الزراعة الحديثة وأساليبها السليمة.
وأضاف وكيل زراعة دمياط، أن هناك اهتماماً كبيراً بمحصول القمح، مشدداً على ضرورة التعامل بحذر من قبل المزارعين وخاصة من قاموا بزراعة الفول، ومراقبة المحصول بشكل مستمر لمواجهة انتشار الآفات مبكراً حفاظاً على البيئة. القدرة الإنتاجية للفدان.”
