جارديان: "حربًا أهلية" فى حزب المحافظين بسبب رفض سوناك إقالة وزيرة داخليته
قالت صحيفة “الغارديان” البريطانية، إن رئيس الوزراء البريطاني ريشي سوناك يواجه ما وصفته بحرب أهلية داخل حزب المحافظين حول مستقبل وزيرة الداخلية سويلا برافرمان، حيث امتنع عن إقالتها بعد أن قالت إن الشرطة منحازة بالسماح لمسيرة مؤيدة للفلسطينيين في يوم الهدنة، الموافق السبت.
يشار إلى أن يوم الهدنة يحيي ذكرى توقيع هدنة بين الحلفاء في الحرب العالمية الأولى وألمانيا لوقف الأعمال العدائية على الجبهة الغربية للحرب العالمية الأولى. ودخلت الهدنة حيز التنفيذ في الساعة 11 من صباح يوم 11 نوفمبر 1918.
قبل ما من المتوقع أن يكون أحد أكبر أيام الاحتجاج الجماهيري على الإطلاق في بريطانيا يوم السبت، ادعى حلفاء سويلا برافرمان أن أكثر من 50 نائبًا من حزب المحافظين كانوا يقاتلون لمساعدتها في الحفاظ على وظيفتها.
