أعربت الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية عن شكرها للسلطات المصرية على دورها الرائد في تمكين إيصال المساعدات للمدنيين في قطاع غزة.
ونشرت وزارة الداخلية الأمريكية تغريدة على موقع “إكس” الجمعة: “تحدث وزير الخارجية أنتوني بلينكن هاتفيا مع نظيره المصري سامح شكري، حيث ناقش الوزيران الوضع في غزة، وشددا على ضرورة حماية المدنيين”. مع رفض التهجير القسري للفلسطينيين من غزة”.

وذكر المتحدث باسم وزارة الخارجية، الخميس، أن الوزيرين تبادلا وجهات النظر حول تدهور الأوضاع الأمنية والإنسانية في غزة، حيث أكد الوزير شكري على ضرورة تنفيذ قرار مجلس الأمن الصادر في 15 نوفمبر، خاصة إقامة الهدنات والممرات الإنسانية وإعطاء الأولوية وصول المساعدات اللازمة إلى القطاع، مع توضيح أن الهدف الأساسي يجب أن يتركز على التوصل إلى وقف شامل لإطلاق النار.
