كشفت مجموعة Trump Media & Technology Group، الشركة الأم لمنصة Truth Social، أنها خسرت 327.6 مليون دولار من إيرادات قدرها 770.500 دولار فقط خلال الربع الأول من عام 2024.
وخلال هذا الربع، حققت TMTG، التي تتمثل أصولها الأساسية في منصة Truth Social التي أسسها الرئيس الأميركي السابق دونالد ترامب بعد طرده من تويتر وفيسبوك في عام 2021، مبيعات بقيمة 770.500 دولار فقط.
ويمتلك ترامب 57.3% من شركة TMTG، التي اندمجت مع شركة وهمية تعرف باسم Digital World Acquisition في أواخر آذار.
وحسب الشركة فإن الأرباح بين كانون الثاني وآذار من هذا العام كانت أقل مقارنة بنفس الفترة من عام 2023، مبينة أن الغالبية العظمى من الخسائر الفصلية كانت مرتبطة بمبلغ 311 مليون دولار من النفقات غير النقدية، بما في ذلك إلغاء الالتزامات السابقة والتي حدثت قبل الاندماج مع Digital World.
وبلغت تكاليف إغلاق عملية الدمج 6.3 مليون دولار، مما ساهم في خسارة تشغيلية في الربع الأول قدرها 12.1 مليون دولار، أي حوالي أربعة أضعاف خسارة التشغيل في الفترة نفسها من العام الماضي.
وقد شبه بعض الخبراء TMTG بـ “الأسهم الميمية”، التي غالبا ما تكون أسعارها مدفوعة بالدعم الشعبي بدلاً من الوضع المالي للشركة أو رؤيتها.
بدأت TMTG التداول العلني في بورصة ناسداك في 26 آذار، مما يعني أن المجموعة الإعلامية للمرشح الجمهوري للبيت الأبيض ملزمة الآن بنشر النتائج ربع السنوية.
