صرح السفير أحمد أبو زيد المتحدث الرسمي ومدير إدارة الدبلوماسية العامة بوزارة الخارجية والهجرة، بأن د. بدر عبد العاطى وزير الخارجية والهجرة إلتقى فى طوكيو مع السيد “يوسف مايتاما توجار” وزير خارجية نيجيريا.
وقد أشاد الوزيران خلال اللقاء بالعلاقات القوية التي تربط بين البلدين، وأهمية تعزيز مسارات التعاون القائمة واستشراف آفاق جديدة للتعاون، لاسيما فى المجال الاقتصادى والتجاري والاستثماري، وتعزيز دور القطاع الخاص.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي، بأن الوزير عبد العاطي تبادل الرؤى مع نظيره النيجيري بشأن تعزيز بنية السلم والأمن في القارة الإفريقية، مشدداً على أن مصر ستظل دائماً داعمة لإستقرار ورخاء الدول الإفريقية الشقيقة، ولمصالحها في كافة المحافل الإقليمية والدولية. وقد تناول اللقاء أهم القضايا الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك، والمستجدات في منطقة الساحل وغرب أفريقيا، بما فى ذلك التحديات الأمنية وتأثيراتها.
