ونفت الحكومة الموريتانية بشكل كامل أي اتصالات مع إسرائيل.
نفى الناني ولد الشراقة، الوزير والناطق الرسمي باسم الحكومة الموريتانية، خلال مؤتمر صحفي عقده اليوم الخميس، بنواكشوط، تماما ما يروج له البعض حول إمكانية إجراء اتصالات مع الاحتلال الإسرائيلي، داعيا الإعلاميين إلى التحرك واليقظة في هذا النوع من القضايا التي يستغلها البعض لنشر الشائعات لتحقيق أهدافهم الخاصة. .
وشدد النني على أن موقف موريتانيا مما يتعرض له الشعب الفلسطيني واضح لا لبس فيه، وقد عبر عنه الرئيس محمد ولد الشيخ الغزواني باستياء واستنكار في القمتين السعودية الإفريقية والعربية الإسلامية المشتركة، وفي تغريداته وهو ما عبرت عنه الحكومة والشعب في مناسبات عديدة.
