المديرة الإقليمية ليونيسف: غزة أخطر مكان فى العالم للأطفال
وصفت المديرة الإقليمية لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة للطفولة (يونيسف) في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، أديل خضر، قطاع غزة الفلسطيني بأنه “أخطر مكان في العالم على الأطفال، حيث يقتل ويصاب العشرات كل يوم”. مشدداً على أن “النظام الإنساني ينهار”.
وقالت، في بيان نشرته المنظمة، إن “أحياء بأكملها، كان يلعب فيها الأطفال ويذهبون إلى مدارسهم، تحولت إلى أكوام من الركام، لا حياة فيها”.
وأضاف المسؤول أن المنظمة والوكالات الإنسانية الأخرى “تدق ناقوس الخطر منذ أسابيع”، مشيراً إلى أن فريق المنظمة التقى على الأرض أطفالاً فقدوا أطرافهم، وأصيبوا بحروق من الدرجة الثالثة، وأطفالاً أصيبوا بصدمات نفسية بسبب العنف المستمر المحيط بهم. هم.
وتابعت: “أُجبر نحو مليون طفل على النزوح قسراً من منازلهم، ويدفعهم القتال الآن أكثر فأكثر جنوباً إلى مناطق صغيرة مزدحمة دون ماء أو طعام أو حماية، مما يعرضهم لخطر متزايد للإصابة بالتهابات الجهاز التنفسي”. والأمراض المنقولة بالمياه، وتتعرض حياتهم لتهديدات أكبر. بسبب الجفاف وسوء التغذية والأمراض.
