محكمة هندية تقضي بسجن مواطن أمريكي عامين لضلوعه دخول البلاد بتأشيرة مزورة
حكمت محكمة هندية على مواطن أمريكي بالسجن لمدة عامين وغرامة مالية. لتورطه في دخول الهند بوثائق تأشيرة مزورة.
وقالت المحكمة – حسبما نقلت قناة “إن دي تي في” الهندية يوم السبت – إن المتهم ويدعى إريك دانييل بيكويث (36 عاما)، سيتعرض للسجن لمدة 15 يوما إضافية إذا امتنع عن دفع الغرامة.
وكان الأمريكي قادما إلى الهند من نيبال عندما قامت إدارة الهجرة في منطقة سونولي الهندية على الحدود مع نيبال بفحص وثائقه. وبعد التحقيق تبين أن أوراق تأشيرته مزورة، مما دفع السلطات إلى إلقاء القبض عليه في 29 مارس الماضي، وتم رفع قضية ضده وتم إبلاغه. السفارة ووكالات المخابرات المعنية.
