القانون يحظر إصدار وتداول عملات مشفرة ونقود إلكترونية بدون ترخيص
يحظر قانون البنك المركزي والجهاز المصرفي الصادر بالقانون رقم 194 لسنة 2020 إصدار أو تداول أو ترويج العملات المشفرة أو النقود الإلكترونية إلا بعد الحصول على ترخيص بذلك من مجلس إدارة البنك المركزي.
وفي هذا الصدد، نصت المادة 206 من قانون البنك المركزي المصري على أنه يحظر إصدار العملات المشفرة أو النقود الإلكترونية أو الاتجار بها أو ترويجها، أو إنشاء أو تشغيل منصات لتداولها، أو القيام بالأنشطة المتعلقة بها دون الحصول على ترخيص بذلك. الترخيص من مجلس الإدارة وفقاً للقواعد والإجراءات التي يحددها. .
وفي الوقت نفسه، نصت المادة 205 على أن مقدمي التمويل الرقمي المرتبط بتقديم خدمة الدفع أو التحصيل الإلكتروني ملزمون بالحصول على موافقة البنك المركزي قبل تقديم هذه الخدمات، وذلك وفقا للقواعد والإجراءات التي يصدر بها قرار من مجلس الإدارة. .
