يستضيف البريد المصري “المعرض العربي للطوابع” خلال الفترة من 5 إلى 7 يناير 2024، بمبنى البريد المصري التاريخي بميدان العتبة، بحضور أكثر من 16 عارضًا من ممثلي الهيئات البريدية للدول العربية والجمعية المصرية لهواة الطوابع وأكثر من 25 عارضًا من هواة الطوابع في مصر؛ وذلك تحت مظلة الأمانة العامة لجامعة الدول العربية – مجلس وزراء الاتصالات العرب.
قال الدكتور شريف فاروق، رئيس مجلس إدارة البريد المصري: “إن استضافة البريد المصري للمعرض العربي للطوابع تؤكد ريادة مصر في مجال الطوابع البريدية، حيث إن مصر هي أول بلد عربي وإفريقي أصدر طوابع بريدية في عام 1866 وذلك بعد إصدار المملكة المتحدة لأول طابع بريد في العالم عام 1840″، مشيرا إلى أن تنظيم هذا المعرض الكبير يأتي في إطار سعي البريد المصري نحو تنمية هواية جمع الطوابع في مصر والوطن العربي.
وأوضح الدكتور شريف فاروق أن المعرض العربي للطوابع في دورته الحالية يتمتع بمشاركة واسعة حيث تشمل معروضاته مجموعات طوابع متميزة من 7 دول عربية تعكس ثقافة كل بلد، مشيرا إلى أن المعرض يعد فرصة مثالية لعرض تنوع الثقافات بين الشعوب من خلال الطوابع البريدية الفريدة والتاريخية، بما يعزز أطر التواصل والترابط بين الدول العربية المشاركة، حيث إن طابع البريد يعد سفيرا بين الدول ينقل ثقافات الشعوب ويوثق تاريخ الأمم عبر آلاف السنين، كما أنه يدون الأحداث الهامة التي تمر بها الأوطان على مر التاريخ.
جدير بالذكر أن المعرض يفتح أبوابه لجميع المواطنين والمهتمين بهواية جمع الطوابع يوم الجمعة الموافق 5 يناير بدءًا من الساعة 2 ظهرًا وحتى الساعة 6 مساءً، ومن المقرر مشاركة 7 دول عربية في المعرض وهي: “الإمارات العربية المتحدة، والمملكة العربية السعودية، وقطر، وعمان، والأردن، وليبيا، وموريتانيا”، وستعرض كل دولة مجموعة متميزة من الطوابع التي تعبر عن تراثها، بما يوفر تجربة فريدة لزائري المعرض والمهتمين بهواية جمع الطوابع.
