تواصل الوحدات المحلية بمحافظة المنيا، جهودها في أعمال المبادرة الرئاسية للتشجير والمعنية بزراعة 100 مليون شجرة، وذلك في إطار تنفيذ توجيهات اللواء أسامة القاضي محافظ المنيا بتكثيف جهود المراكز في تنفيذ خطة المحافظة لمواجهة التغيرات المناخية، بما يسهم في توفير مساحة خضراء والحد من التلوث، وخلق بيئة أكثر نقاءً للمواطنين.
قامت الوحدة المحلية لمركز ومدينة ديرمواس بزراعة 110 شجرة مثمرة وزينة متنوعة بطريق مصر أسوان الزراعي في المدخل الشمالي للمدينة، إلى جانب زراعة 35 شجرة زينة بنطاق ديوان الوحدة المحلية لمركز ومدينة ديرمواس، كما قامت الوحدة المحلية بقرية دلجا بزراعة عدد 20 شجرة مثمرة بمحيط مجمع الخدمات بالقرية، فضلا عن تسليم مجموعة من الأشجار لعدد من المدارس والمصالح الحكومية والجمعيات بديرمواس،ليتم زراعتها وفقًا لخطة محددة، وطبقًا للظروف المناخية الملائمة لكل موقع.
وفى مركز ومدينة مطاى، استلمت الوحدة المحلية 4710 أشجار مثمرة لزراعتها بالمركز، تضمنت أصناف مثمرة وغير مثمرة وهي (توت عماني- كونو كاربس- جوافة- يوسفي – برتقال، جزورين- ليمون)، ليتم زراعتها بأماكن محددة بالقرى والمدينة من خلال إدارة المشاتل بالمركز ووفقًا لخطة محددة، وطبقًا للظروف المناخية الملائمة لكل موقع.
