استقبل السيد الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي، اليوم بمطار القاهرة الدولي، الرئيس الجزائري عبد المجيد تبون، الذي يقوم بزيارة عمل وأخوة لمصر، حيث اصطحب السيد الرئيس ضيف مصر الكريم إلى قصر الاتحادية، وأجريت مراسم الاستقبال الرسمية.
وأوضح السفير أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية أن الرئيسين أجريا مباحثات معمقة، تضمنت تأكيد عمق ومتانة العلاقات التاريخية الوثيقة بين مصر والجزائر، وما يجمع الدولتان من أواصر أخوة شعبية متجذرة في التاريخ، كما أكد الرئيسان في هذا الإطار حرصهما على مواصلة مسيرة التعاون المشترك بين الدولتين ودفعها إلى آفاق أرحب، إلى جانب استمرار التشاور والتنسيق المستمر في مختلف القضايا الإقليمية والدولية.
وفي ذلك الإطار، شدد الرئيسان على ضرورة الوقف الفوري لإطلاق النار في قطاع غزة ولبنان، وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية، مؤكدين مسئولية المجتمع الدولي عن حماية المدنيين من الاعتداءات الجسيمة التي يتعرضون لها، وأكدا كذلك ضرورة إقامة الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة، على خطوط الرابع من يونيو ١٩٦٧ وعاصمتها القدس الشرقية.
كما تناول الرئيسان الأوضاع في القارة الأفريقية، حيث أشار إلى أهمية التنسيق المشترك بما يضمن مصالح القارة ويدعم جهودها التنموية، مشددين على حرصهما على دعم جهود السلم والأمن بالقارة الأفريقية.
وعقب المباحثات، عقد الرئيسان مؤتمراً صحفياً مشتركاً عرضا خلاله أهم مجريات المباحثات.
