بعد قرار الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم (CAF) برئاسة باتريس موتسيبي، بمنحه أرفع جائزة للاتحاد وهي الجائزة المرموقة للإنجاز المتميز لعام 2024، وذلك تقديرًا للجهود المتميزة والمساهمة الواسعة في تطوير ونمو كرة القدم في مصر والقارة الأفريقية من خلال تطوير البنية التحتية والمرافق المميزة لكرة القدم التي تم بناؤها في مصر وساهمت بشكل كبير في التنمية ونمو كرة القدم في مصر والقارة الأفريقية.
وأكد رئيس اتحاد الوطن العربي الدولي تقديره للاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم لحرصه على منح هذه الجائزة الأفريقية الكبيرة للرئيس السيسي، موضحًا اتفاقه التام مع باتريس موتسيبي رئيس الاتحاد الأفريقي لكرة القدم «كاف» على هذا التكريم المهم للرئيس السيسي الذي يعطي دائمًا أولوية قصوى ويلعب دورًا بارزًا لتحقيق التنمية الشاملة والمستدامة لجميع دول القارة السمراء.
وأشاد بالحرص المستمر من الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي على إعطاء أولوية قصوى لجميع القضايا والملفات الخاصة بالتنمية الشاملة والمستدامة داخل مختلف دول القارة السمراء، مؤكدًا أن العلاقات المصرية الأفريقية تعيش عصرها الذهبي في عهد الرئيس السيسي الذي يحرص دائمًا على أن تكون القارة السمراء في بؤرة وصدارة اهتمامات الدولة المصرية على جميع الأصعدة.
