كرواتيا تتبرع بمروحيات من طراز "Mi-8" لأوكرانيا
وذكرت وكالة الأنباء الأوكرانية الرسمية “أوكرينفورم” اليوم الجمعة أن كرواتيا سلمت جميع طائراتها المروحية من طراز “مي-8” إلى أوكرانيا، وهو ما أكده وزيرا الدفاع الأمريكي والكرواتي.
وذكرت الوكالة نقلا عن مصادر مطلعة في وزارة الدفاع الأمريكية، أنه تم نقل مروحيات كرواتية من طراز “مي-8” إلى أوكرانيا، بعد اجتماع بين وزير الدفاع الكرواتي ماريو بانوسيتش ونظيره الأمريكي لويد أوستن في واشنطن يوم يوم الخميس. .
وأعرب أوستن خلال اللقاء عن امتنانه لكرواتيا على دعمها لأوكرانيا، وشدد على أهمية هذه المساهمة، مشيرا إلى أن هذه المساعدة تشمل جميع مروحيات مي-8 الكرواتية وغيرها من المعدات العسكرية.
كما أشاد وزير الدفاع الأمريكي بالتقدم الذي أحرزته كرواتيا خلال الثلاثين عامًا الماضية، حيث أصبحت عضوًا متكاملاً في حلف شمال الأطلسي والاتحاد الأوروبي، مشيرًا إلى أهمية العمل الجاد والسياسة السليمة التي ساعدت الأمة على تحقيق هذا التقدم.
من جانبه أشاد وزير الدفاع الكرواتي بدور نظيره الأمريكي في دعم الجهود المشتركة لمساعدة أوكرانيا.
