وذكرت هيئة النقل في مدينة نيويورك أن مئات المتظاهرين الذين يطالبون بوقف فوري لإطلاق النار في غزة أغلقوا محطة غراند سنترال، أحد محاور النقل الرئيسية في المدينة..
وأعلنت الهيئة في بيان نقلته قناة الحرة الأميركية اليوم السبت، إغلاق محطة غراند سنترال حتى إشعار آخر بسبب الاحتجاج، مطالبة الركاب باستخدام محطات بديلة ومراعاة زيادة زمن التحويل. .
وتدفق المتظاهرون من محطة القطار إلى الشارع 42 في وسط مانهاتن، واعتقلت سلطات إنفاذ القانون عددًا كبيرًا من الأشخاص. .
وأعلنت إدارة شرطة نيويورك اعتقال 200 شخص على الأقل، فيما أكد المنظمون أن الاعتقالات شملت 300 شخص خلال تفريق التجمع داخل محطة غراند سنترال. .
