وكشف الدكتور أحمد سراج، مدير التخطيط الاستراتيجي بالمشروع القومي لتحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي من مشتقات البلازما، عن فوائد التبرع بالبلازما، قائلاً: نهدف إلى مساعدة الآلاف من المرضى المصريين الذين تعتمد حياتهم على الأدوية المشتقة من البلازما، علماً أن وتعتبر البلازما هي المصدر الوحيد لتصنيع هذه الأدوية، ويخضع المتبرع للفحص الطبي. – إجراء فحوصات مخبرية شاملة ومنتظمة للتأكد من صحته والتأكد من أهليته للتبرع.
