صرح المستشار أحمد فهمي المتحدث الرسمي باسم رئاسة الجمهورية بإن الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي تلقى اتصالاً هاتفياً من المستشار الألماني “أولاف شولتز
وذكر المستشار أحمد فهمي أن الاتصال تناول الأوضاع الإقليمية واتساع دائرة التوتر في المنطقة، حيث استعرض الرئيس الجهود المصرية المكثفة للتوصل إلى وقف فوري لإطلاق النار في قطاع غزة، والمبادرات المتعلقة بتبادل المحتجزين في هذا الإطار، وذلك بهدف توفير الحماية للمدنيين في القطاع الذين يعانون على مدار عدة أشهر من أوضاع إنسانية مأساوية، مشدداً على ضرورة تحرك المجتمع الدولي للضغط في اتجاه تنفيذ القرارات الأممية ذات الصلة. كما تناول الاتصال الجهود الرامية لوقف توسع نطاق الصراع الذي تلمس المنطقة بوادره، بما سيكون له من عواقب وخيمة على الشرق الأوسط والسلم والأمن الدوليين، وقد أشاد المستشار الألماني بدور مصر البناء في المنطقة، واتفق الجانبان حول أهمية حل الدولتين كأساس لاستعادة السلام والأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة.
وأضاف المتحدث الرسمي أن الاتصال تناول كذلك سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية المتميزة بين مصر وألمانيا على شتى الأصعدة.
