أتريد التيقن من وجود الله؟
ضع يدك على قلب طفل نائم، تلامس مع تلك الحركة المنضبطة، ذاتية الاستمرار، لا يعي هذا الطفل النائم ما تعنيه هذه الحركة، لا يبذل أي مجهود فكري أو بدني ،مسبقًا، في المحافظة على استمرارها أثناء سُكُونه، وكأنها أكثر وعيًا منه بأهمية ما تقوم به في هذه الوظيفة الحسّاسة، يغفو الطفل، ويُغلَق وعيه، ومع ذلك تظل، كأنها مُدرِكة لإلزامية دوام عملها، يعلن هو نهاية يومه ليستريح، وتستمر هي بلا راحة تدق ضلوعه، معلنة بصوتها النابض المتواتر أنها لا تنعس ولا تنام مثل ضابطها.
