صرح وزير الري أنه حريص على تطوير منظومة الصيانة الوقائية بالوزارة لتمكينها من التعامل الإستباقى لتجنب حدوث المشاكل والأزمات ، مع تفعيل دور الإدارة المركزية لصيانة المجارى المائية في مجال تطهير الترع.جاء ذلك خلال الاجتماع الذي عقده “سويلم”لمناقشة مقترحات تطوير منظومة صيانة المجارى المائية،وفكرة مقترح لتنفيذ مركبة برمائية متعددة الاستخدامات لتطهير الترع والمصارف.
استعرض وزير الري خلال الاجتماع مقترحات تصميم وتنفيذ مركبة برمائية على جنزير مطاط تستخدم في حصاد ورد النيل وعصره للتخلص من السوائل ثم ضغطه لخفض وزنه وحجمه بدلا من حصاد النبات بمحتواه من المياه، مع إمكانية تركيب شفرات مختلفة للتعامل مع مختلف أنواع الحشائش والمخلفات،مع تصميم المركبة بما يحقق سهولة تحركها عبر الترع والمصارف.
أكد سويلم،على ضرورة أن يراعي تصميم المركبة إمكانية تطهير الترع المبطنة والغير مبطنة والمصارف بدون التأثير سلبا على الجسور كحل بديل أكثر فاعلية وأقل تكلفة من معدات التطهير الميكانيكي والتي قد تؤثر على جسور الترع والمصارف أثناء أعمال التطهيرات.
وأكمل:ومراعاة أن تكون المعدة مناسبة للترع والمصارف ذات عرض قاع متنوع(1 متر فأعلى)،وأن تكون أقل تأثيراً على بنية الجسور والطرق،ولهاالقدرة على التحرك على ميول جسور الترع والمصارف بسهولة لتسهيل أعمال التطهيرات بكامل طول المجرى المائي.
