قالت الدكتورة وئام عثمان استاذ العلاقات الدولية بأن مصر مستمرة فى صدارة الجهود الإقليمية والدولية الدافعة نحو تنفيذ وقف فورى ودائم لاطلاق النار ويتميز الموقف المصرى بالثبات حول ضرورة حل الصراع وحل الدولتين واقامة دولة فلسطينية مستقلة كاملة عاصمتها القدس الشرقية
وأضافت عثمان خلال حوارها قائلة أن الهدف الرئيسى للدولة المصرية هو الوصول لوقف إطلاق النار فى غزة ولبنان والوصول إلى حل فيما يخص القضية الفلسطينية مشيرة إلى أن ما يحدث الان هو مفاوضات لسياسات دولية عن كثب لوقف إطلاق النار واقامة هدنة إنسانية بسبب ما يتفشى الان فى غزة وحالات المجاعة وتردى البنية التحتية وتدمير المستشفيات والمدارس
وتابعت قائلة بأن هناك تحركات دولية لوقف الصراعات عقب فوز الرئيس الأمريكي المنتخب دونالد ترامب من خلال محاولة لإجراء اتفاقات ع مستوى تبادل الرهائن والأسرى لافتة إلى أن رئيس دولة الاحتلال بنيامين نتنياهو يريد استمرار الحرب لتحقيق اهدافة الشخصية
