أعلنت الشركة السعودية للاستثمار السياحي “أسفار” – إحدى شركات صندوق الاستثمارات العامة – اليوم عن شراكة مع هيئة تطوير المنطقة الشرقية؛ بهدف تطوير كورنيش الخبر الجنوبي وتحويله إلى وجهة سياحيّة رئيسية لكل من السكان والزوار الدوليين.
وبموجب الاتفاقية التي جرى توقيعها على هامش فعاليات معرض سيتي سكيب في الرياض، ستتولى شركة بهيج لتطوير الوجهات السياحية، التابعة لأسفار وتحالف شركتي “عون” و “التميمي”، تطوير هذه الوجهة الواعدة والمتميزة التي تمتد على مساحة 414 ألف متر مربع، بما في ذلك الكورنيش بطول 3 كيلومترات وميناء الصيد بمساحة 10 هكتارات.
ويتمثل الهدف الأساسي لهذه المبادرة التحويلية، في الارتقاء بمعايير جودة الحياة العصرية وتوسيع نطاق العروض السياحية وترسيخ مكانة الخبر كوجهة سياحية مستدامة, وتم تصميم هذه الوجهة لتلبية احتياجات المجتمع المحلي وعشاق الحياة البحرية وجيل الشباب، لتقدم مزيج نابض بالحياة من التجارب الترفيهية والبحرية، وتحقيق مجتمع تفاعلي على الواجهة البحرية.
