وأشارت هالة عدلي إلى أنه عند التعرض لهذه الأعراض يجب الحذر ومعرفة حقيقة الإصابة من خلال الفحص. كما أنه في حال وجود هذا النوع من السرطان في تاريخهم العائلي، عليهم اتخاذ الإجراءات الاحترازية، وأهمها البحث عن الكشف المبكر من خلال كل فحص. 3 سنوات من الزواج حتى سن 50، وبعد إكمال سن 50 يتم إجراء الفحص كل 5 سنوات حتى سن 65..
وأكد المدير العام السابق لشركة خدمات مصل الدم واللقاحات أن هناك تطعيم وقائي ضد هذا النوع من السرطان، وبشكل أكثر وضوحا هذا التطعيم هو الحماية من فيروس الورم الحليمي، وهذا يجعله حماية للرجال والنساء.
وأضافت أن أخذ لقاح الحماية من الورم الحليمي يبدأ من سن 9 سنوات إلى 15 سنة ويأخذ جرعتين فقط بفارق 6 أشهر. وبعد 15 سنة يتم التطعيم على 3 جرعات، والجرعة الثانية بعد شهرين من الجرعة الأولى، والجرعة الأخيرة بعد 6 أشهر..
