تلقى الرئيس عبد الفتاح السيسي اتصالاً هاتفياً من سكرتير عام الأمم المتحدة “أنطونيو جوتيريش” تناولا فيه مجمل الأوضاع في الشرق الأوسط وخطورة توسع دائرة الصراع الجاري..
تم استعراض الجهود المصرية والإقليمية والدولية الرامية للتوصل إلى وقف لإطلاق النار وتبادل المحتجزين، وإنفاذ المساعدات الإغاثية إلى القطاع بكميات كبيرة وفي أسرع وقت. تم تناول الدور المحوري الذي تقوم به الأمم المتحدة ومنظماتها المختلفة في تقديم الدعم والإغاثة لأهالي القطاع، لاسيما من خلال وكالة غوث وتشغيل اللاجئين الفلسطينيين (الأونروا) التي تم تأكيد أهمية مواصلة تمويلها لتتمكن من أداء دورها الإنساني. رحب الرئيس السيسي بالدور الذي يقوم به السكرتير العام للأمم المتحدة في الدفع نحو التهدئة وإنفاذ المساعدات الإنسانية. تقدم “جوتيريش” بالشكر لمصر على دورها الجوهري في العمل على التهدئة وتقديم الدعم الإنساني لأهالي غزة، مؤكداً حرصه على استمرار التنسيق والتشاور والعمل المشترك مع الرئيس السيسي في سبيل استعادة الأمن والاستقرار بالمنطقة.
