قدمت السفيرة/هالة يوسف أحمد رجب أوراق اعتمادها سفيرةً لجمهورية مصر العربية لدى مملكة تايلاند، يوم ٢٨ يناير الجارى، وذلك خلال استقبال ملك تايلاند لها بالقصر الملكي.
وخلال اللقاء، أعرب ملك تايلاند عن تقديره العميق لمصر وشعبها، وطلب نقل تحياته إلى السيد رئيس الجمهورية وأطيب تمنياته للشعب المصري، كما أشاد بالنمو والازدهار الذي تشهده العلاقات الثنائية، وكذلك التنسيق بين البلدين في المحافل الدولية.
هذا وقد أوضحت السفيرة أن هذا العام يشهد مرور ٧٠ عاماً على تدشين العلاقات الدبلوماسية بين البلدين، حيث كانت مصر أول دولة عربية وأفريقية تقيم علاقات دبلوماسية مع تايلاند، مؤكدةً على الإمكانيات الكبيرة للبناء على الصداقة والثقة المتبادلة بين الجانبين لتعزيز العلاقات ودفعها إلى آفاق جديدة، فضلاً عن استكشاف مجالات أوسع للتعاون، بما يحقق مصالح الشعبين المصري والتايلاندي.
