فشل مجلس الأمن الدولي، اليوم الجمعة، في إقرار بيان رئاسي يعبّر فيه عن “قلقه العميق” إزاء #المجزرة التي ارتكبتها #قوات_الاحتلال_الإسرائيلي في “#شارع_الرشيد” بمدينة غزة، بحق المدنيين الذين كانوا ينتظرون وصول شاحنات المساعدات، ما أدى إلى استشهاد وإصابة المئات.
وكان المجلس قد عقد جلسة مغلقة، بناء على طلب الجزائر، بخصوص التطورات الأخيرة في قطاع غزة، عقب مجزرة “شارع الرشيد”.
وطرحت الجزائر على طاولة المجلس مشروع بيان رئاسي يعبّر فيه أعضاء مجلس الأمن الـ15 عن “قلقهم العميق” إزاء المجزرة، ويحمّل المسؤولية لقوات الاحتلال الإسرائيلي التي أطلقت النار صوب الآلاف من المدنيين العزّل الذين كانون ينتظرون وصول شاحنات المساعدات.
لكنّ نصّ لم يمرّ لأنّ إقرار البيانات الرئاسية لا يتمّ إلا بالإجماع، حيث أيّد النص 14 عضوًا وعارضته الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
ونسبت تقارير صحفية لمصدر دبلوماسي قوله إن الولايات المتحدة صوّتت ضد النص لرفضها تحميله مسؤولية ما جرى إلى إسرائيل. وأوضح المصدر أن المناقشات في أروقة مجلس الأمن ستستمر في محاولة للتوصل إلى صيغة تلقى الإجماع المطلوب.
