مزرعة جامعة الإسكندرية هي مزرعة علمية وبحثية تابعة لجامعة الإسكندرية، وتقوم بإنتاج المحاصيل والمنتجات الزراعية المتنوعة التي يستخدمها الطلاب من خلال كلية الزراعة للأغراض العلمية والبحثية.
“اليوم السابع” ينشر 10 معلومات عن المزرعة.
1- تقع المزرعة في فرع الجامعة بمنطقة أبيس
2-مساحة مزرعة الكلية تتكون من (71 فدان – 6 قيراط – 2.5 سهم).
3- تنقسم إلى منطقة تشغيلية غير مستغلة للإنتاج النباتي بمساحة 10 فدان (2 فدان للمكاتب والعنابر الإدارية و 8 فدان للسكة الحديد والمصارف وقنوات الري)، بينما تبلغ المساحة المستخدمة للأنشطة الإنتاجية 61 فدان تقريبًا.
4- تتكون من مزرعة سمكية بمساحة 16 فدان (14 فدان إنتاج – 1 فدان سكك – 1 فدان أحواض تربية ومفرخ)
5- ويتكون أيضًا من . مزرعة الإنتاج النباتي: 53 فدان (45 فدان للإنتاج النباتي + 8 فدان للسكة والمصارف).
6- الجزء الأخير يحتوي على مكاتب إدارية ومعمل وحظائر أغنام ومستودعات وحضانة ومنحل بمساحة 2 فدان.
7- جميع استخدامات المزرعة للأغراض البحثية والعلمية
8- يوجد بالمزرعة مجمع للطاقة الشمسية على مساحة 300 متر مربع
9- يعد أكبر مجمع للطاقة الشمسية في مصر بهذا الحجم
10- يمثل الاقتصاد الأخضر تحويل المخلفات الزراعية إلى الفحم الحيوي وهو منتج يقوم بتخصيب الأراضي الزراعية.
