وقال المندوب الأمريكي في مجلس الأمن إنه يجب ضمان وصول المساعدات والوقود إلى المحتاجين في غزة، مضيفا أن معالجة الأزمة في غزة يجب أن تكون في مقدمة عمل مجلس الأمن.
وأضافت خلال جلسة مجلس الأمن لمناقشة مشروع قرار بشأن تسريع المساعدات لغزة، نقلته قناة القاهرة الإخبارية، أنه يجب ضمان وصول المساعدات والوقود إلى المحتاجين في غزة، مضيفة أنه يجب على المدنيين والمرافق الإنسانية والدولية تكون محمية.
وأضافت أن مشروع القرار يسعى إلى تعيين مسؤول أممي رفيع المستوى لمراقبة عملية المساعدات وتسريع آليات إدخالها إلى قطاع غزة، مضيفة أن حماس يجب أن توافق على هدنة إضافية لجلب المزيد من المساعدات إلى غزة وإطلاق سراح المعتقلين. .
