وقال الجيش إن جنوده “قاموا بتحييد” السائق الذي نفذ عملية دهس في موقع عسكري قرب مخيم الفوار الى جنوب الخليل.
ونقلت وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية عن الهيئة العامة للشؤون المدنية “استشهاد المواطن محمد حسين اسماعيل مسالمة برصاص الاحتلال عند مدخل مخيم الفوار”.
كما أصيب شخص بجروح طفيفة، بحسب قناة “كان” التلفزيونية العامة الإسرائيلية.
ويأتي ذلك غداة مقتل فلسطيني برصاص الجيش الإسرائيلي اشتبه في تنفيذه عملية دهس في المنطقة نفسها قرب مفرق أدورايم الى جنوب مدينة الخليل.
وأفادت خدمة الإسعاف الإسرائيلية “نجمة داوود الحمراء” عن إصابة أربعة أشخاص بجروح.
وتشهد الضفة الغربية التي تحتلّها إسرائيل منذ العام 1967، تصاعداً في وتيرة أعمال العنف منذ اندلاع الحرب بين إسرائيل وحركة المقاومة الإسلامية (حماس) في قطاع غزة في السابع من/أكتوبر.
ومنذ ذلك الحين، قتل أكثر من 316 فلسطينيا بنيران الجيش أو مستوطنين إسرائيليين في الضفة الغربية، وفقا لأرقام وزارة الصحة الفلسطينية.
