وافق مجلس النواب في جلسته العامة المنعقدة برئاسة المستشار الدكتور حنفي جبالي رئيس المجلس، وبشكل نهائي، على مشروع القانون المقدم من الحكومة بإصدار قانون رعاية حقوق المسنين.
وجاءت موافقة المجلس بعد استعراض النائب الدكتور عبد الهادي القصبي لتقرير اللجنة المشتركة من لجنة التضامن الاجتماعي والأسرة والأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة ومكاتب لجان التعليم والبحث العلمي، الشؤون الصحية، الشباب والرياضة، السياحة والطيران المدني، الإعلام والثقافة والآثار، النقل والمواصلات، الخطة والموازنة، والشؤون الدستورية والتشريعية، عن مشروع القانون المعروض.
