كان الحلم الذي يراود فائزة من الصف الرابع اعدادي هو الطيران بعد ان صعدت الطيارة اول مرة مسافرة بمطار المثنى ، تقول :”اول مرة حلقت في الجو،قبل دخولي الكليةفي مطار المثنى،كان ذلك فوق بغداد الحبيبة،كان شعوراً جميلاً جداً،وكنت فرحة جداً .
دخلت الكلية الجوية العراقية وتخرجت سنة ۱۹۸۲م، دورة ٣٧.بعدها دخلت عدة دورات منها اول دورة قوة جوية تقام بحيث دخلت الدورة مع عشرين فتاة عراقية تخرج منهن ٥ طيارات فقط والباقيات مسيطرات جويات،بعدها اكملت دراستها بمدرسة معلمي الطيران بمعسكر الرشيد، واصبحت مدربة طيران، تدرب على يدها مجموعة من افضل صقور الجو
في العراق.وبقيت مدربة بالمطار الزراعي بخان بني سعد في ديالى وتقاعدت سنة ۱۹۹۰م بعد زواجها وحالياً هي ام لثلاثة اولاد.
