قدم حسام حسن المدير الفني لمنتخب مصر الأول لكرة القدم و إبراهيم حسن مدير منتخب مصر ، التهنئة للنادي الأهلي بعد التتويج بلقب دوري أبطال أفريقيا على حساب الترجي التونسي، وحصد اللقب الثاني عشر في تاريخه.
وتوج النادي الأهلي بلقب دوري أبطال أفريقيا، بعد تحقيق الفوز على فريق الترجي الرياضي التونسي، بهدف دون رد، في المباراة التي أقيمت على ستاد القاهرة الدولي.
وأحرز هدف المباراة الوحيد رامي ربيعة في الدقيقة الرابعة من زمن الشوط الأول، بعد ركنية رائعة سكنت يسار حارس مرمى الترجي.
وكانت مباراة الذهاب بين الأهلي والترجي التونسي، التي أقيمت على الملعب الأولمبي حمادي العقربي برادس، قد انتهت بالتعادل السلبي دون أهداف.
ليضرب بذلك الأهلي موعدا مع الزمالك في السوبر الأفريقي، للمرة الثانية تاريخيّا، بعد المرة التي جمعت قطبي الكرة المصرية عام 1994.
