و من الجدير بالذكر أن الدكتور شحاتة غريب شغل العديد من المناصب و منها
مستشارا للجامعة المصرية الروسية و نائبا لرئيس جامعة أسيوط لشئون التعليم و الطلاب
كما شغل منصب عميد كلية الحقوق جامعة أسيوط و عميد كلية الحقوق بالوادي الجديد
وشغل منصب وكيلا للجنة التشريعية بمجلس الشعب و عضو لجنة الجودة
