وزير الصحة يوجه بتطوير مستشفي الخانكة للصحة النفسية

وجه الدكتور خالد عبدالغفار، نائب رئيس مجلس الوزراء للتنمية البشرية ووزير الصحة والسكان، بوضع تصور لتطوير مستشفى الخانكة للصحة النفسية، التي تقع على مساحة 170 فدان، لتصبح أول مدينة طبية متكاملة للصحة النفسية وعلاج الإدمان والمسنين.
المستشفى بعد تطويرها ستشمل جميع الخدمات العلاجية والوقائية وعلاج الأورام إلى جانب خدمات الصحة النفسية وعلاج الإدمان ، بسعة إجمالية ١٨٠٠ سرير ، منهم ٣٠٠ سرير للخدمات العلاجية والوقائية ، و٢ معجل خطي لعلاج الأورام ، إضافة إلى ١٥٠٠ سرير لخدمات الصحة النفسية.
المستشفى تقدم عدداً من الخدمات للمرضى من خارج المستشفى لتضم عيادات (إدمان، نفسية، خفض الضرر، فيروسات، طب المجتمع، كشف إثبات الاعاقة لمرضى الاعاقة الذهنية والتوحد)، فضلاً عن خدمات الأشعة العادية والسونار ورسم القلب، بالإضافة إلى خدمات وحدة تنظيم إيقاع المخ.
