اختار الإتحاد الدولي للكانوي و الكياك العميد دكتور / خالد سمير نائب رئيس الاتحاد المصري للكانوي و الكياك و أمين صندوق الاتحاد العربي ضمن تشكيل لجنة الباراكانوي بالإتحاد الدولي و المسئوله عن رياضات و بطولات و تصنيفات اللاعبين “أصحاب الهمم ” من ذوي الإعاقه بالإتحاد الدولي و ذلك اثناء عقد الإتحاد الدولي لجمعيته العموميه المنعقده بتركيا خلال الفتره من 7 – 10 نوفمبر الجاري
وكان الاتحاد الدولي للكانوي (ICF) قد عقد جمعيته العموميه بمدينة انطاكيا بتركيا التي تم فيها الإحتفال بمناسبة مئوية الإتحاد الدولي بحضور مندوبين مصوتين من الاتحادات الوطنية ( 170 اتحاد ) و هي السلطة العليا للاتحاد الدولي و قد تم فيه مناقشة التعديلات و إعتماد القواعد و اللوائح و القوانين الخاصه باللعبه و إجراء انتخابات مجلس إدارة الإتحاد الدولي للفتره من 2024 – 2028 و الذي يتكون من الرئيس و (3) نائب الرئيس وأمين الصندوق و رؤساء اللجان الدائمة و الممثلين القاريين و قد فاز برئاسته الرئيس الحالي الألماني “توماس كونيتسكو” ليستمر في قيادة الإتحاد لدوره جديده .
بالإضافة إلي تشكيل اللجان الفنية المسؤولة عن القواعد و المنافسة الدولية كبطولات العالم وكؤوس العالم بالإضافه إلي لجنة رياضية ولجنة طبية ولجنة مكافحة المنشطات. يشار إلى هذه اللجان مجتمعة باسم اللجان الدائمة للإتحاد الدولي و التي تستمر لمدة أربع سنوات مع المجلس الحالي .
