قال الدكتور مصطفى الفقي، المفكر السياسي، أن السد الإثيوبي أمر خطير، رغم كل محاولات التقليل للآثار الجانبية التي يتبناها بعض خبراء الري والزراعة وعلماء المياه، بحجة نشر روح التفاؤل، لافتا أن السد عبارة عن قنبلة مياه قدرها 74 مليار متر مكعب، قد تكتسح السودان ومصر إذا وقع خطأ فني.وأضاف الفقي، خلال لقاء لبرنامج «يحدث في مصر»، عبر فضائية «MBC مصر»، مساء الثلاثاء، إن المرشحين عليهم وضع شبكة من العلاقات الجديدة بين مصر وإثيوبيا؛ تسمح بأن تجعل مسألة نهر النيل جزء من كل.
وتابع: إن «ملف سد النهضة يأتي على رأس الأولويات التي يجب أن يقدم مرشحو الرئاسة رؤية لها أمام الناخبين».
وأوضح المفكر السياسي ، أن «العلاقات مع الدول الإفريقية تحتاج قدرا كبيرا من التفاهم والتبادل والتعاون»، مضيفا: «ذهبت إلى إثيوبيا ورأيت الظلام ليلا والفقر، وفي ذلك الوقت تأتي إلى القاهرة وتنبهر بأضوائها وحيويتها»، مؤكدا أن قضية سد النهضة كانت بحاجة إلى حشد للمجتمع الدولي مبكرا، منوها أن «الاتفاق الإطاري لم يكن محكما بالقدر الذي يضع إثيوبيا في المكان الصحيح» على حد قوله.
