تحصين 17 ألف من الثروة الحيوانية ببنى سويف لمواجهة طاعون المجترات الصغيرة
تواصلت فعاليات الحملة القومية لتطعيم الماشية ضد طاعون المجترات الصغيرة، والتي تنفذها مديرية الطب البيطري ببني سويف، ضمن خطة الهيئة العامة للخدمات البيطرية بوزارة الزراعة، لإجراء أعمال التطعيم بالوحدات والأقسام البيطرية على مستوى قرى ومراكز المحافظة.
وتضمن التقرير الذي أعدته مديرية الطب البيطري، إشارة إلى أن إجمالي عدد الحيوانات التي تم تحصينها بلغ 17400 رأس من الأغنام والماعز، منذ استئناف الحملة عملها بداية أكتوبر الجاري والتاسع من الشهر نفسه، فيما تتواصل أعمال التطعيم وفق الجدول الزمني المحدد لتغطية الهدف. بجميع قرى المحافظة .
وجه المحافظ الدكتور محمد هاني غنيم، رؤساء المراكز والمدن، بمواصلة تواجد المسؤولين البيطريين وتقديم التسهيلات اللازمة، لتحقيق هدف الحملة القومية لتطعيم الماشية ضد طاعون المجترات الصغيرة، مع ضرورة لحشد جهود المجتمع المدني إلى جانب الجهود الرسمية لإنجاح الحملة وتوعية المواطنين وأصحاب الماشية بأهمية التطعيم يساعد على حماية الحيوانات والحفاظ عليها والقضاء على الأمراض والأوبئة التي تصيب الماشية
تجدر الإشارة إلى أن مديرية الطب البيطري، تحت إشراف الدكتور أحمد عبد العليم، تجري الاستعدادات لتنفيذ الحملة، من خلال تجهيز الفرق الطبية وأدوات ومعدات التطعيم، وتوفير احتياجات الأقسام والوحدات من الأمصال. واللقاحات المستخدمة خلال الحملة والتي تهدف للقضاء على طاعون المجترات الصغيرة وهو مرض فيروسي يصيب الأغنام والماعز. وينتقل عن طريق الاتصال المباشر بين حيوان سليم وحيوان مصاب. وتظهر أعراضه في ارتفاع درجة حرارة جسم الحيوان المصاب، وذلك من خلال الإفرازات المخاطية من العين والدموع والإفرازات.
