تنظم مكتبة الإسكندرية ورشة عمل إقليمية حول “دبلوماسية العلوم” للمنطقة العربية، غدا الثلاثاء، بقاعة الوفود بمركز المؤتمرات بمكتبة الإسكندرية.
تنظم المكتبة ورشة عمل إقليمية لمدة 3 أيام خلال الفترة من 24 إلى 26 أكتوبر 2023، من خلال مركز الدراسات والبرامج الخاصة (CSSP) بقطاع البحث الأكاديمي والشريك الإقليمي العربي للأكاديمية العالمية للعلوم في تطوير البلدان (TWAS-AREP). تهدف الورشة إلى مناقشة مفهوم… “الدبلوماسية العامة” في المنطقة العربية والدور الذي تلعبه في مواجهة القضايا المحلية والإقليمية مثل قضايا التغير المناخي، وأزمة الغذاء، وقضايا البحث العلمي، وغيرها من القضايا، وذلك من خلال عرض الجوانب العلمية المتعلقة بهذا المفهوم، ومناقشة أهمية التعاون الوثيق بين العلماء، وخاصة العلماء الشباب، وصناع القرار. وأكد الدبلوماسيون أهمية توحيد هذه الجهود بالتعاون مع مختلف المؤسسات والقطاعات المحلية والدولية والإقليمية، من أجل الاستفادة الأمثل من مخرجات البحث العلمي وجهود العلماء، وتطوير الرأي العلمي المعني بمواجهة التحديات العلمية والمجتمعية. والتحديات والقضايا البيئية التي تتجاوز الحدود وهي تحت تصرف صناع القرار.
ويعبر مفهوم “دبلوماسية العلوم” عن استخدام التعاون العلمي بين الدول لمعالجة المشكلات المشتركة التي تواجه الإنسانية وبناء شراكات دولية مبنية على المعرفة العلمية. إن أكبر التحديات التي نواجهها اليوم هي التحديات ذات الطابع الدولي، سواء كانت تحديات تتعلق بالتغير المناخي أو تتعلق بالصحة العامة، مثل مكافحة الأمراض والفيروسات وغيرها. وتواجه هذه التحديات مجتمعات مختلفة وتتجاوز حدود الدولة الواحدة ومواجهتها تتطلب الاستعانة بالرأي الفني والعلمي السليم وتضافر الجهود الدولية. ولذلك فمن المهم التعاون الوثيق بين صناع القرار والعلماء والباحثين في مختلف المجالات.
