تواصل الوحدات المحلية بمحافظة المنيا، جهودها في تنفيذ أعمال المبادرة الرئاسية للتشجير والمعنية بزراعة 100 مليون شجرة، وذلك في إطار تنفيذ توجيهات اللواء أسامة القاضي محافظ المنيا بتكثيف جهود المراكز في تنفيذ خطة المحافظة لمواجهة التغيرات المناخية، بما يسهم في توفير مساحة خضراء والحد من التلوث، وخلق بيئة أكثر نقاءً للمواطنين.
من جانبه، قال هشام فايز رئيس المركز انه جارى استكمال أعمال التجميل والدهانات وتنسيق وزراعة الأشجار بعدد من الطرق الرئيسية بالمدينة والقرى ، بالتزامن مع تنفيذ المبادرة الرئاسية لزراعة 100 مليون شجرة حيث، زراعة 84 شجرة مثمرة وزينه بالطريق الدائري كما تم قص الحشائش وتهذيب الأشجار وري حديقة ميدان الشهيد وميدان السلام كما تم ري الأشجار بطريق مصر أسوان ودهان جذوع الأشجار بطريق مصر أسوان الزراعي وبدائري مطاي .
